Ivar was our first cat. He was abandoned and found a lady of a kind
heart. She took all stray cats under her roof. He was practically bald
– he had no fur because he was ill. We didn’t hesitate very
long. After a few weeks of treatment his fur began to grow back, the
boy started to trust us and this is how our adventure with cats
started. Ivar was neutered.
After a year or so we began to wonder if Ivar could benefit from some
company. And this is how another stray cat moved in with us – a
kitten that was a few weeks old and suffered from a cat flue and
discharge from the eyes. She was very scared and skinny, the size of a
tea mug and completely red. We called her Rusty. Another long treatment
was ahead of us. Unfortunately, despite staying with us for many years
she has not learnt to trust human beings. She was sterilized.
Our first dog, Ami, was a half-breed.
When he left, our home seemed quiet and empty …
For a long time I have been getting ready for having another pet.
Beren (Brendon z Żelaznej Rodziny), Bernese Mountain Dog, arrived due
to a chain of consequences. Beren gave us a lot of joy, unfortunately,
he is not very healthy. This is why we have never considered
reproducing – he was neutered.
After a year or so Luthien (Dolce Vita Berneńskie Ranczo) moved in with
us. Our Luthien - Fairy - she cast a spell on us and not only on us -
Lu has been working as a therapy dog and we have been sharing her with
those who are the most needy.
When we decided to move to the country, a friend of mine had a litter
of Siberian cats… We fell in love with Mopka (Mocca Konser*PL)
at first sight. And so we became the owners of a brave and
even-tempered cat with the heart of a warrior. We realized that there
will always be some Siberian with us.
Aura (Aurora Mruczek*PL) was the next new member of our household. We
have always wanted to have a Ragdoll. Unfortunately, for many reasons
we could not make this dream come true. But in September 2007 we had
some luck Aura came to live with us. Aura also likes to visit children
and loves her job.
Be¶ka (Bianka Mruczek*PL) came to live with us in May 2008. Soon we all
fell in love with her. She is the most friendly and purring cat I have
ever seen. She felt like home after five minutes and made us wonder if
she has ever realized that she changed homes. Besia is interested in
all human beings – she visits centers for those who need care and
is a source of joy to many.
In August 2008 Piro (Piroschka Schwarzwaldtiger*DE) moved in. She is a
fast and independent little gangster ;) She purrs beautifully and
gracefully demands caressing. She has her own opinion on many issues :)
Also Yuki and Yato (BMDs) live with us. When our Lusia (Luthien) gave
birth to seven beautiful puppies, we knew that one of them had to stay
with us. How about two...? Oh well… Tomek was enchanted with
Yuki’s foggy eyes (Lothiriel Meres of Twilight) and I was
enchanted with Yato’s (Lomion Meres of Twilight) serious looks.
Our „babies” share their mother’s passion for dog
training and have been training for their future work.
We are glad that our pets are not only our passion but can also be
helpful to others. We hope that we will be able to follow our chosen
path in our life.
